I run short-term rentals in Japan: a city house in Tokyo and a beach house on the Shonan coast, both opened in March 2026 and operated through my own small company. I also help other owners set up rentals and small inns.

Most writing about Airbnb in Japan is either a sales page or a guess. This site publishes the actual books instead: what came in, what went out, and the months that went wrong. I keep the property names private so guests are not affected, but every number is real and comes straight from the ledger.
